Gregory T Kidd, CET
Training Director: Greg is an Alfred E. Peloquin recipient, recognized for "significant contributions to the wastewater field" by the New England Water Environment Association. Over the past 17 years, Greg has had the pleasure of providing operator and management training for wastewater and water facilities throughout the Northeast, from Caribou, ME to Wards Island, NY. He has written numerous safety plans most recently for Kittery WTD and Boothbay Region WTD. Furthermore, Greg has conducted Permit Required Confined Space audits, laboratory audits and training needs analysis. In 1992, the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA contracted Greg to write WWT Operator SOP's for the MA Resources Authority's 1.27 billion gallon/day facility, Deer Island WPCF. Greg has since had the distinction of serving as a contributing writer to the 1998 edition of TR-16 Guides for the Design of Wastewater Treatment Works. Greg is a licensed wastewater systems operator in both ME & MA and a licensed water systems operator in ME. He has completed OSHA's 40 hour General Industry course at Keene State College. Greg is a NETA Certified Environmental Trainer.

Michael Jeffers, CET Instructor: Mike has garnered a broad base of water & wastewater industry knowledge over the past 28 years. His experience includes positions in water supply, wastewater treatment operations & maintenance, operator training & technical assistance and facilities construction & engineering. Most recently, Mike worked in conjunction with the State of Rhode Island to provide sanitary surveys and technical assistance for significant non-compliant water systems. He is currently a licensed wastewater and water treatment operator in NH and a licensed wastewater operator in MA. In 1997, the National Rural Water Association recognized Mike for “Excellence in Training”. He has also received the “Citizenship Award for Training Efforts” by the VT Department of Water Resources and the New England Interstate Water Pollution Central Commission’s “Award of Appreciation for Training Programs.”

In total, Ray has over 25 years of dedicated service in the water/wastewater and safety industries. He currently holds the honor of serving as a Captain of the Auburn Fire Department and a State of Maine fire instructor. His past experience includes positions as a Class III Operator for the Auburn Water District and owner of Mainline Pipeline Services. Ray founded Life Safety Specialists, Inc. in 1988 to provide site-specific competency-based training to clients in the industrial, municipal and healthcare fields. As a NETA Certified Environmental Trainer, Ray has trained water/wastewater operators and firefighters throughout the Northeast. In addition, he has written safety programs for facilities throughout Maine, including the Maine Emergency Medical Services, Maine Fire Training Education, Gardner WPCF, Lincoln WPCF, Kittery WTD and the Boothbay Region WTD. Ray has further served as a contributing writer to the 1998 edition of the TR-16 Guides for the Design of Wastewater Treatment Works.

Tom DenisonInstructor: Tom has been a firefighter with the Auburn, Maine Fire Department since 1987. He holds certifications from the Maine State Fire Academy, Androscoggin County Unified Emergency Management Agency, Maine Department of Public Safety, National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland and the International Municipal Signal Association. His accreditation includes Firefighter II, Fire Instructor I, Interior Fire Alarm Technician I, Hazardous Materials Operations and Tactical Operations. Tom began working with Life Safety Specialists, Inc. in 1988. He now serves as a confined space entry/rescue specialist & instructor and manager of the Health Care Division. Tom’s position is backed by ten years experience as a safety instructor/consultant in the Long-Term Care industry.
